On Friday 16 February, The Most Reverend Geoffrey Smith, Archbishop of Adelaide commissioned Tim Browning as the new Headmaster of St Peter’s College. Tim is only the 15th Headmaster in the School’s 170-year history and the significant service was conducted in Memorial Hall.
Tim was welcomed into the Saints community and presented with a selection of symbols to signify the importance of his new role as Headmaster including a copy of of the School’s constitution to symbolise his responsibility; a Bible as a symbol of his commitment to nurture the boys in body, mind and spirit; and a candle as a symbol of the light of Christ shining in the city of Adelaide.
In front of friends, family, special guests and the School community, Tim outlined his desire for boys to approach their education with imagination and enthusiasm. “Let’s use the heritage, provided by our forbears at Saints to light our path going forward… and let’s use our imagination to start taking steps forward in the future together.”
Tim joins a list of illustrious and dedicated men who have helped generations of boys to achieve their full potential.
