Prep to Year 6

The Junior Years provides a dynamic and engaging learning environment for boys from Prep to Year 6. Boys participate in a broad and challenging academic and co-curricular program, within a framework focused on the wellbeing of every student.

In all activities boys are encouraged to give their best to achieve the highest standard they can. Commitment, dedication and effort are highly prized qualities as are those of initiative and leadership.

Learning

The Junior School curriculum is carefully structured to cater for the diverse needs of our students with a focus on literacy and numeracy.

Boys have access to the extensive Junior School Library; art and music centres; specialist teaching spaces for science, Chinese and French; and a robotics lab.

Students also take part in a range of activities including music, visual arts, sport and outdoor education.

Sports

From Year 3 all boys participate in sports and can choose from an extensive list of summer and winter sports.

Sporting facilities are world class and include a versatile hall incorporating a full-sized basketball court, an indoor heated swimming pool, and sporting ovals.

Pastoral Care and Houses

As part of our commitment to wellbeing, boys are cared for and nurtured through our pastoral care program and in their Houses.

The House system provides many opportunities to participate in annual traditions and community activities, enhancing a sense of belonging and camaraderie.
