Visual and Performing Arts

We have a rich and strong tradition in musical studies and performing arts with a diverse offering that includes music (solo and ensemble), drama and visual arts.

Learning

In the senior years, the academic focus sharpens with a diverse and broad curriculum designed to meet the intellectual demands of contemporary society.

Students have access to excellent facilities, technology and specialist teachers to explore ideas, develop practical skills and enhance their understanding of the world.

In Years 11 and 12 we offer the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) and students can choose from a wide range of subjects. Boys and their families are encouraged to select the program that best suits their needs and aspirations.

Celebrate our Year 12 Results

In 2022, 10% of all St Peter’s College students attained an ATAR of 99 or above placing them in the top 1% of the nation. In addition, the median ATAR achieved by SPSC students was 91.25. These outstanding results reflect the incredible determination of students, the support of their families, and the passion and skill of our staff.

Pastoral Care and Houses

As part of our commitment to wellbeing, boys are cared for and nurtured through our pastoral care program and in their Houses. St Peter’s College has a strong House tradition with ten Houses in the Senior School, including a specific House for our boarders.

Sport

All Senior School boys participate in sports and can choose from an extensive list of summer and winter sports.

We offer more than 20 sports, held in our world-class facilities which include seven ovals, a hockey pitch, 10 tennis courts, sports centre with swimming pool and full gymnasium.

Exchange Programs

Our exchange programs offer valuable opportunities to allow boys an educational experience in a variety of schools across the country.

Outdoor Education

All students participate in the outdoor education program, undertaking a series of journeys in a wilderness environment that help to build confidence and resilience. The program culminates with a 21-day journey in the Flinders Ranges in Year 10.
