Rex J Lipman Fellows Program

The aim of the Rex J Lipman Fellows program is to bring the world’s best thinkers and leaders to the School to encourage and motivate as many boys as possible. A free public lecture series gives everyone in the community the opportunity to discuss, debate and engage with leaders and commentators from a diverse range of fields.

As a School we passionately believe in the value of education and public debate, and are delighted to be able to bring such distinguished national and international speakers to the broader South Australian community.

Everyone is welcome to attend.

About the Fellows Program

Fifty-two Fellows have visited St Peter’s College since the Rex J Lipman Fellows Program was established in 2011. Dr Rex J Lipman AO ED OLH ONM (1922–2015) generously remembered the School in his Will and through his support, leaders and scholars of international distinction have visited St Peter’s College to contribute to the School’s academic, intellectual and cultural life.

During their time at St Peter’s College, Lipman Fellows present a substantial public lecture, present small seminars on a topic of interest to boys and staff, and are available for consultation with staff and students of the School.

Fellows are recommended to the Headmaster and selection is made according to their international standing and pre-eminence, value of the proposed Fellows, and appeal of the public lecture to the School and the wider community.

Rex J Lipman’s generosity will have a lasting impact on generations of students.
