Mind Lab Olympics final

Junior School

Mrs Ceri Slinger and Mrs Louise Day had the pleasure of accompanying a group of students from Years 4, 5 and 6 to the Mind Lab Olympics interschool final at St Andrew’s School recently.

The two teams, competing as St Peter’s College Blue and White Teams, competed against St Andrews, St Peter’s Girls and Pulteney Grammar in their chosen game – either Checkers, Octi, Abalone or Quorridor.

It was wonderful to see the camaraderie and support they gave each other, while making new friends from other schools. They displayed the Character Strengths of perseverance, judgement, perspective and empathy as they fought for each point and supported and congratulated each other as the competition progressed.

Congratulations to Year 5 students, Ryan Weinert and Sze-Yong Koh Buckland who came joint 2nd place in Checkers and received a Silver Medal. Louis von Doussa (Year 6) came 2nd in Octi and also was awarded a Silver Medal. Congratulations to all our competitors and teams.
