Holiday Career Counselling

Posted 08 December 2023
Senior School

The Year 12 SACE results are expected to be released online on Monday 18 December. This will include an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR), which determines whether a student is successful in gaining entry into a university course.

The IB results can be accessed via https://candidates.ibo.org on the Wednesday 3 January. Students will require their Personal Code and PIN, found on Managebac. Further result breakdowns will be emailed out by Ms Fleming, who can be contacted during this period at lfleming@stpeters.sa.edu.au

South Australian University applicants can change their preferences up until the 3rd of January for most courses. The main university offer rounds will commence on the 11th of January and continue for courses with places still available throughout February and March. Preference changes can be made online through SACE (www.satac.edu.au). For students applying to universities interstate, please check the relevant Tertiary Admission Centre, as preference change dates vary significantly. All states allow some time for preference changes.

Year 12 boys and/or their parents are welcome to visit or contact the careers office to discuss tertiary entry and/or training options including matters such as:

  • Changing preferences
  • Course requirements
  • Alternate courses/pathways

To facilitate this support, the Careers Counsellor will be available in the careers centre from 9am to 3pm on Monday 18 December: coinciding with the SACE results release. You are welcome to come into the school in person, phone, or email Mr Matthews. The careers office will also be monitoring emails on the Wednesday 3 January when the IB results are released.
