The COVID-19 pandemic and the social distancing measures in place have not deterred our enthusiastic football players in preparing for the season. To maintain the high standards of our football program and prepare for an unpredictable season, the football coaches at St Peter’s College have recruited talented AFL players to share their skills and impart their knowledge.

St Peter’s College is delighted to announce that Adelaide Football Club players David MacKay, Tom Lynch and Darcy Fogarty will join the School’s football program for Term 2. They all have a passion to teach and coach and Tom and David have extensive experience in the SANFL and within elite teams. Darcy is in the early stages of a promising career and his experiences of boarding in Adelaide will help him connect with our boarding students.

In addition to these three new coaches, St Peter’s College has recruited the following coaches in the past 14 months:

  • Richard Douglas (retired player, Adelaide Crows)
  • Jarrod Cotton (senior coach, Norwood FC)
  • Chris O’Connor (under 18s coach, Norwood FC)
  • Geoff Riddle (SANFL juniors competition manager and coach of St Peter’s Old Collegians)
  • Tom Lewis (senior player, Sturt FC)

This is a very exciting time for football at St Peter’s College and we look forward to using our talented coaching team to further develop and deliver our program. For more information, please email community@stpeters.sa.edu.au
