Senior School

Earlier this year Years 10, 11 and 12 geography students participated in the 2019 Australian Geography Competition. The competition involved over 73,500 students from 792 schools across Australia. Students completed 50 multiple-choice questions based on global geography. The results this year were outstanding with 31% of our students placed in the top 20% of Australia.

Congratulations to the following students who received high distinctions for their efforts; Xander Grice (Year 9), Zihaou Wu (Year 10), Jack Davis (Year 10), Myles Burrough (Year 10), Jimmy Psaltis (Year 11) and Spencer Reimann (Year 11).  Alexander Shierlaw (Year 12) and James Loftus (Year 10) both placed in the top one percent of the country for their respective year levels, coming first in South Australia.

After successfully participating in last year’s national Geography’s Big Week Out event, Alexander was selected as a member of the four-student team that is representing Australia at the 2019 International Geography Olympiad in Hong Kong.

Well done to our Geography students on a magnificent result!
